27 Dresses is a Rom-Com staple that everyone should watch. It is a rom-com starring Katherine Heigl as Jane Nichols and James Marsden starring as Kevin Doyle. Jane is an assistant for a CEO but her side gig is being a Bridesmaid. Now all that Jane wants is for a wedding of her own and she wouldn’t mind if it was with her boss. But as they say, “always the Bridesmaid and never the bride”. Jane suffers from one thing and that thing is people pleasing and never seems to be able to advocate for herself.

Sway With Me is a fiction book written by Syed M. Masood. This book reflects a story of two kids balancing their root culture, and culture they were born into. This also shows how two completely different people adapt differently. At first they are very different and distant, but they get closer as time goes by. They experience, and og through a lot together, and their friend group builds. They get more support, and help each other out when they are in trouble.

Giving a very grumpy/sunshine type of trope, the story follows Hazel Bradford and Josh Im, who have known each other since they were in college. Hazel’s outgoing, fun, loud, and an elementary school teacher if that sums it up. Josh is a do it by the book, go through life sort of unnoticed, minding his own business type of guy. Their paths cross years after college and it simply follows their relationship/friendship. I’m a sucker for quick, romance, cute reads and this was exactly that, which I was happy with.
